Michael joined Mickman Brothers 30 years ago in the Irrigation Dept. as a crew member, and was rapidly promoted to Team Leader of our largest Commercial Installation Crew. As such, Michael needed to become certified in the latest irrigation technology to ensure our clients of the most efficient usage for the water used on these large sites.

Michael has installed some of the most prominent (Target Field) and largest (The Lakes of Blaine) Landscape Irrigation Systems in Minnesota. Over the past 30 years, Michael has gained the respect of countless General Contractors in the Twin Cities for his extraordinary coordination skills in working cooperatively with many trades on these sites; electricians, landscapers, plumbers, grading/sodding contractors, etc. Due to his exceptional coordination skill set, Michael also works closely with our Landscape Dept. to thoughtfully coordinate work that we do together on commercial projects.

Michael also enjoys working on larger, more complicated residential irrigation systems that incorporate both turf and plant material zoning, using the latest in drip irrigation products, specialty lawn requirements and 2 wire & ‘smart’ controllers.

In the late fall season, when winter weather sets in, Michael is the Plant Superintendent at our St. Francis Christmas Wreath Plant which produces a significant percentage of the ~ 500,000 wreaths we manufacture and from which we ship nearly half of these fresh Christmas Wreaths and other Holiday Decorations customers in 49 States.
