Mariah's career started when she was 6 years old working in the tree field weeding containerized trees for the family business. This early training soon grew into to learning about proper tree structure and at a tender age began removing double leaders from young trees in the garden center. This experience brought out her love for working outdoors and always having dirt under her fingernails.
Mariah eventually chose Urban Forestry at the U of M to help ensure the long term health of Minnesota's tree canopy. Mariah's degree in Urban Forestry was the last time this major was offered at the University. She is forever grateful for this great program which essential in the success she currently enjoys in her career.
With this strong base of knowledge in the tree and landscape industry, she has worked throughout the metro area, Portland, OR, and Auckland, New Zealand. The national and international experience has given Mariah an extremely strong background in dealing in many types of tree and landscape projects. Mariah has over 25 years of experience and is able to look at landscapes as a whole to identify the best management practices to ensure the long term health of trees and landscapes.
Mariah has a passion for the environmental conservation and sustainable forestry and strives to work according to the industry's best management practices in the most environmentally sound manner possible. She spreads her knowledge and love for the landscape with every client she meets and truly recognizes how trees and landscapes positively affect everyone's lives.
